Thomas Ernharth was appointed as City Manager in February of 2015 and is responsible for over 80 city employees and the city's general and utility fund budgets. Before coming to Starke, Mr. Ernharth worked from 2005 until 2015 as the Township Manager for South Londonderry Township in Lebanon County Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the International City/County Managers Association and holds a bachelor’s degree from Rowan University and master's degree from the Pennsylvania state University.
The City of Starke operates under a council-manager form of government. The mayor and council are responsible for making policy decisions for the community.
Mr. Ernharth is appointed by the City Council and is responsible for the implementation of the Commission’s policies and procedures and with the exception of the police department and the City Clerk’s office, Mr. Ernharth supervises all other departments agencies and offices of the city.
